the very worst thing

i watched a lot of anime while i was sick so have this villain coded queer space cat who’s probably the magic version of a wrestling heel, and a disabled former magical girl who got stuck mid-transformation as a teen and is now in her 30’s dealing with all that.

they don’t have names yet but they were on the same team at one point because Cat did the whole ‘enemies to lovers’ thing with the head of the group Magical Girl was in and they became kinda friends. now they’re hanging out again because they reunited at the funeral for Magical Girl’s companion creature who lived a long simple life as a service critter after she left the team. Cat was the only one from the old days who showed up, and that was partially because they had just gone through a divorce from their magical teenage sweetheart and now they are trying to connect with any friends who will still talk to them. because whatever went wrong must have been their fault! once a villain yadda yadda.

I’m pretty sure the fae figured out that people were on to them ages ago. The first ‘alien’ sighting was what, ten years to the day after the last disappearance? I guess they needed different lures and getting into that old tourist trap was probably really easy considering the dude who runs it (well…RAN it. Pretty sure the thing at the counter isn’t him) refused to put up the iron and use a fake name like I told him to. Should have taken his own advice about believing.

Anyway, that’s probably where they got the idea to trade in ethereal human beauty and glorious wings for grey skinned weirdos. Now we’ve got ‘aliens’ showing up all over the county trying to trade wishes for teeth and generally reveling in the fact that no one seems to be onto them yet. Well, no one but me.

accidentally skipped over #17 though, but i’ll go back and do that one later.

so, #18 is alien and since i couldn’t really think up an alien with a ‘monster girl’ feel i basically just took a grey, added space undies, and made it into a kawaii alien princess.
