this is a baby-faced man from my space adventure cyberpunk (tho it’s turning more biopunk) world from patreon. his name is Leo and he’s a retired career test subject for luxury augmentations. someone has to test out whether people who want to be irl furries or have sexy robot bits can live long and normal (or at least pain-free) lives, and who better than a poor healthy young man with very few blood relations who happen to live in a distant colony? of course he’s not very young now despite his looks, but slightly unethical super science is a helluva drug.

Fun Facts:

the program that altered him is the more legal sister program to the one that birthed Eve so he treats her like a niece. he’s also friends with Lea and Gorgon in an affectionate ‘Jesus Christ you stupid kids are gonna die out here’ way.

he and Lea never call each other by their proper names because they’re too close to the same name and someone’s gotta change so it’s 'Old Man’ and 'Punk’ forever.  

he’s an artist who spends his retirement making weird furniture from junkyard scraps out in the wastes. he sells most of it online but sometimes he’ll just take an ax to a piece for kicks. no one knows why. he’ll get real salty if anyone else so much as forgets a coaster on his stuff though and always respects other people’s things.

rarely holds parties or does hangouts but any event he’s a part of will involve the destruction or transformation of a non-living object that fits into his internal list of things it’s okay to ruin. he likes to take carefully framed photos of these items in ways that make them beautiful or meaningful.

he also takes self portraits. a lot of them are private and some of them are erotic or upsetting. he is aware of the correlation with his other photos. he does not want to talk about it.

he has eyeshine which freaks people out when they see him in the dark.

bounces back and forth between chaotic neutral and Concerned Grandpa.

claws on his hands are retractable. he gets frustrated sometimes because he misses his slim more dexterous fingers but he likes his legs and feet because they make him a little taller. he likes the tail because it’s cute, even if it gets in the way sometimes (he was actually born with a lil’ tail so it feels like the most natural bit to him).

very secretive about his love life. very secretive about most things.

always has Good Food at his place. will feed anyone he doesn’t violently hate (and even then he might feed you just to flex).

will give you a wisdom.  

his old bits are in a tank somewhere in an ongoing study on continued viability of severed limbs. he understands that the science is important and mostly doesn’t give them a thought but sometimes he gets Mad about it.

Android? Cyborg? No one could tell if the quips about being a particularly fashionable leftover settlement-prep unit from the start of the colony centuries ago, or the weird throwaway snippets implying a human past raising chickens were jokes or not. Both would account for their disdain towards  The Things That Looked Like Foxes that paced the border sometimes, but his dry humor made it so hard to parse.

i’m sick and salty so i’m doodling some character interaction with my off the grid space babies. fun facts:

Gorgon collects plants and really likes off world/illegal/invasive species. whenever anyone asks about their collection they always ask if they’re a cop first. they don’t care about getting caught, they just think the look on people’s faces when innocuous questions are answered with “are you a cop?” is really funny.

Lea doesn’t own any clothes that aren’t black (or used to be black) workout/lounge wear. its all she grabbed when she ran and the thing she likes most about being on the run is that she can walk around in sweat pants and sports bras all day pretending its mad max chic.

Gorgon is better at interacting with other people than Lea is.

they’re two very good cyborgs just trying to make it in the forbidden wastes.

some newer stuff. while i was feeling like garbage i was thinking a lot about oc’s that need slight design tweaks so i wanted to work on some Lea and Gorgon sketches. making Lea emote is fun because it seems impossible to give her a ‘cutesy’ face? no matter what emotion she’s feeling it just looks like complete passive stone face or a sliding scale of menace. i’m sorry space daughter.

drawing Lea and Gorgon running out to make a house call for a prosthetic repair. its too hot for coffee but she’s tired and the cup does some interesting things to facial recognition software. it looks weird carrying around an empty mug anyway.

Gorgon would do it but scrambling cameras takes more energy than a walk into the city is worth. to keep them from getting upset, Lea says that they can pick out a potted plant later. they can even name it.

Gorgon is too excited by this future treat to notice the man in the white jacket.

Lea does though.

she mentally corrects her route and brings the mug to her lips as she steps onto the train.

i was drawing Lea in her super tiny bedroom with sleepy Gorgon but i ran out of steam.

she lives pretty spartan. when her mech hit the ground a lot of compartments were crushed or torn open. she uses most of her interior space for her workshop. the rest is storage or meeting space for clients.

drawing my cyborg mech pilot girl and a very worried Gorgon today since i’ve done so little art compared to all the writing i have for her. i’ve decided to name her Lea Paradisi, after the paradise tree snake. i also jazzed up her prosthetics a little.

former mech pilot turned underground prosthetic-engineer/ hacker who currently lives out of her decommissioned former ride.

the eye of her pet snake-bot is the black box of her mech and is assumed destroyed by the authorities. it’s name is Gorgon.

i haven’t decided on a name for her yet.
